The Khotachiwadi Imaginaries workshop focused on the transformation of the urban and historic neighbourhood of Khotachiwadi in South Bombay. Each participant first described a chosen place in the neighbourhood through one largescale drawing. A second drawing then showed an imagined future of this specific situation. Some of the students opted to build an intervention such as a small staircase connecting the alleyways of two neighbourhoods. The workshop was followed by a week-long exhibition of the drawings and interventions in the neighbourhood together with a festival with the inhabitants.

At the same time the exhibition “Drawings of Ahmedabad“ at Studio X Mumbai – Columbia GSAPP showed A3 Risograph prints from the publication Architecture Reading Aid Ahmedabad. We designed the display furniture on site together with local a craftsman.
